In old time, there was a rich man who had many livestock and fields. 古時(shí)候有位富人，他有許多牲畜和田地。

One day, a young man wrote a letter to the rich man and wanted to borrow an ox from him.一天，有位年輕人給富人寫了一封信想問(wèn)他借頭牛。

The rich man was just treating guests. 恰逢富人正在招待賓客。

He wouldn’t let his guests know that he was illiterate. 富人不愿意讓別人知道他不識(shí)字，

Upon receiving the letter, he opened the envelope and skimmed through the letter line by line as if he could read. 

于是拿到信之后，拆開(kāi)信封，逐字逐句的看了起來(lái)。

Then he said to the messenger: “Well! I'll be right there.”然后就對(duì)送信的人說(shuō)道：“好的！我知道了。我一會(huì)就過(guò)去！”
